Blandy’s Restaurant in Audley Inglewood, the luxury retirement village in Kintbury, has been awarded an AA Rosette in culinary excellence, becoming the second retirement village operator ever to receive the prestigious accolade.

Set in the beautiful Inglewood House and surrounded by scenic gardens, Blandy’s at Inglewood restaurant is modern yet full of English charm. Gert Pienaar is the Head Chef at the restaurant and brings with him a wealth of experience including the Vineyard at Stockcross and Brocket Hall Estate which have both been awarded AA Rosettes.

The success he has experienced within his previous work and at Blandy’s at Inglewood has led him to also be appointed the Group Head Chef at Audley last year. In this role, he oversees the restaurant standards across Audley’s 10 operating restaurants with more in the pipeline

Gert works alongside an extremely passionate and talented team who together offer owners and guests a sophisticated menu of fresh, locally sourced, seasonal dishes which can be enjoyed while admiring the ornate décor and plush settings.

This month, owners will be able to experience the delicious Christmas menu – but spaces are in high demand so those hoping for a table are advised to book today. The restaurant is open seven days a week from 9am to 9pm.

Audley Inglewood is also home to 91 luxury retirement apartments, and offers state-of-the-art facilities including a health club, swimming pool and library. Alongside this, flexible care is available as and when needed, provided by Audley’s CQC regulated care provider Audley Care. Both the Audley Club and Audley Care are also available to members of the local community.

Gert Pienaar, Head Chef at Audley Group, commented: “I am so proud of the team at Blandy’s at Inglewood as together we have been awarded an AA Rosette. To be recognised for the culinary excellence we aim to produce in the restaurant has made me extremely proud. We are looking forward to welcoming many owners and locals over the Christmas period”

Audley Group Managing Director Paul Morgan commented: “We are truly honoured to have received this award which highlights the quality of the food and the exceptional service delivered daily

in Blandy’s restaurant, especially as we are only the second retirement village operator to ever receive the award. It’s worth the visit to experience a truly memorable dining experience.”
