Marc Gilbard

Chairman

Marc has been the Chief Executive Officer of Moorfield Group since 1996 and has led Moorfield’s transformation from a small company listed on the London Stock Exchange into one of the leading UK specialist real estate private equity fund managers.

Marc holds the external appointments of Non-Executive Director at Howard de Walden Estate and Policy Committee Member at British Property Federation and is a Member of the Bank of England Property Advisory Group.

Nick Sanderson is the founder and CEO of Audley Group. In the 1980s he founded, operated and then sold Beaumont Healthcare, one of the first corporate providers of private pay nursing care homes.

Nick created Audley to develop a portfolio of private retirement villages and as one of the founders of the retirement village sector in the UK, he has acted as an adviser to public and private sector organisations. Nick is also Chair of the Associated Retirement Community Operators (ARCO).

Gary joined Audley Group in November 2020, bringing with him a wealth of experience essential to the growth trajectory of the business.

He has a wealth of financial experience honed over 20+ years working with leading businesses across different sectors nationally and internationally. This includes retail where Gary spent nine years with Kingfisher plc, as Assistant Treasurer and in Finance Director roles, and across the health & wellbeing and hospitality sectors.

Group sales and marketing Director

Siân has over 25 years in the healthcare and property sales industries working in highly regulated environments, holding various leadership and board level positions across sales and operations.

Experienced in a variety of roles delivering organic and acquisitive growth, Siân is responsible for the sales function of both Audley Villages and Mayfield Villages and the strategic direction of marketing. She is passionate about the growth of the business and the continued success of Audley Group as the market leading retirement living developer and operator.

john Nettleton

Land Director

John has worked in the property industry for over 20 years, firstly at Bidwells, DTZ (now Cushman and Wakefield) and subsequently Colliers International where he was Regional Head of Residential. Whilst at Colliers he acquired Clevedon for Audley Group following which, in 2007, he joined Audley Group as Regional Land Director.

Philip Rolfe

Development Director

Phil joined Audley in 2019 as Development Director, responsible for planning, leading and managing all development schemes. Prior to Audley, Phil was Managing Director at PMR Building Consultancy where he worked with Audley and their investment partner, Moorfield since 2007.

With 33 years’ experience in property, construction and development management, including 21 years as a Chartered Surveyor, Phil has an extensive track record across a wide variety of refurbishment and development projects. Prior to PMR Phil had senior roles at companies including Knight Frank, Watts Group and Jones Lang LaSalle.

Group Legal Counsel

Mark Sadler, our Group General Counsel, joined Audley Group in 2021 and has made a major contribution across all areas of the business over the last two years. Mark joined the ACL Board in December 2023.

Charles Ferguson-Davie

Non-Executive Director

Charlie is the Chief Investment Officer at Moorfield and sits on the Moorfield Group Board and Investment Committee. Prior to joining Moorfield in 2005 Charlie worked in corporate finance at Lazard in the real estate advisory group. Since 2005 Moorfield has raised and managed five private equity funds, comprising some £1.8bn of equity. Charlie sits on a number of industry committees, including the BPF Commercial Property Forum and the IPF Indirect Property Funds Group.

Michael Bruhn

Non-Executive Director

Michael was educated as a Chartered Accountant and holds an MSc (Econ) from Copenhagen Business School.

He has held various positions in the real-estate industry and was a senior partner in DTZ before joining Valad as Head of Nordics in 2004.

In 2013 Michael moved, after nine years with Valad, to the position of Chief Executive Officer of PFA Real Estate – the real estate arm of Denmark’s largest private pension fund, PFA Pension.
