Audley Care, the CQC-registered care provider for Audley Villages, today announces the appointment of Percival Chari as its new Care Director. With extensive experience across a variety of care settings, Percival will head up the Audley Care team as it continues to deliver exceptional care and wellbeing services to property owners and people in the local community.
Percival arrives at Audley Care from his most recent position as General Manager at the Eleanor Palmer Trust a Sheltered Housing Charity that also runs Care Home Services, where he managed staff and operations and helped to drive engagement across the team and with residents. At the time of his departure, Percival was appointed as Board Member/Trustee for the same Charity.
Percival is a Registered Mental Nurse and in his 19 years in the sector has held positions across hospital and care home settings, as well as extensive senior management experience. This has seen him support numerous care brands with the provision of complex and specialist care services.
As Care Director, Percival will work closely with the management team on the future strategy and growth of Audley Care and ensure the continued provision of safe care across all Audley Care sites and the local communities they support.
He joins at a pivotal time for the business with the imminent opening of Mayfield Care, which will support the group’s very first Mayfield Village in Watford and the surrounding community as well as all future Mayfield villages.
Percival Chari, Care Director at Audley Care, commented: “Audley Care is a business which I have long admired. Its focus on enabling people to maintain their independence and live well for longer is something I am incredibly passionate about. I have seen, first-hand, the mental and physical benefits of supporting people to stay in their own homes and this is at the very heart of Audley Care’s approach.
“From the short time I have been with the business, I see the passion of the care team and look forward to working with them closely in the coming years.”
Lisa Rickman, HR Director at Audley Group, commented: “We’re really pleased to be welcoming Percival to the Audley team. He has vast sector experience, across a range of care settings, and that will be invaluable as we look at the future growth and strategy of Audley Care. He will also be instrumental in the setup of the Mayfield Care proposition.
“Wellbeing is at the heart of our proposition and it’s a pivotal time for the Group as we continue to shape the future of our care business to reach as many people that need support as we possibly can.”
